Curt Howard Equipment (C.H.E. Inc.)  is a wholesale and retail distributor of a full line of new three point equipment including but not limited to:  heavy and medium duty industrial blades, heavy and standard hydraulic tilt & angle blades, box scrapers, and land levelers, box blades,  post hole diggers,  post drivers,  rock rakes, hay tedders, disc harrows, rotary tillers, rotary cutters, finish mowers, a variety of tractor and farm supplies, and parts for all the new equipment we carry. We also carry a large variety of used farm equipment of many brands and applications. Some notable ones are New Holland hay equipment, New Idea corn pickers, International Harvester disc plows, Gehl round balers, and a variety of grain and hay wagons.

We handle all our own freight and regularly have loads going as far south as the Carolinas, Georgia, Alabama, and Texas; and as far north as Michigan, Iowa, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and even Ontario. This Christmas season there is a note of sadness in the air. As some of you may have heard, one of our employees, Kenneth Wayne Marker, known to all simply as "Kenny," passed away earlier this month. You may remember Kenny delivering semi-truck loads, helping out at auctions, or just sitting around shooting the bull, cigarette in hand. But regardless of what he was doing, he always did so in the most light-hearted, easy-going manner. It is this quality which we will all miss.

He possessed nine fingers and about as many teeth, yet he somehow chewed through twelve 4-ounce steaks at a buffet one time (or so the story goes). Kenny was good at telling entertaining stories even if they weren't always 100% fact. He was also well-known for his at times off-color jokes (and every time you saw him, he had new ones to share). Anyone who really knew Kenny would know the answer to the question "Would you rather be a jelly bean or an egg?"

But overall, Kenny's true strength was that he was a true and trusted friend to all his fellow employees. He was really more like family to us, and even lived with some of us through the years. We all miss Kenny, and if you knew him, we know you will, too.

Kenny died at Springfield Regional Medical Center on December 7, 2009 due to complications with influenza.
