| The Howard Family Cattle
Farm is located south of London, Ohio on Route 42. Our Family prides
itself in the fact that we raise our beef without hormones and feed them
only corn and hay which we grow ourselves. So if you're looking for
quality beef and an economical value, give us a call at (740) 852-3956
to arrange to buy a portion of freezer beef.
We can only sell our beef "on the hoof," which means your price is determined by the animal's weight before butchering. We charge $1.00 per pound "on the hoof." After paying $1/pound on the hoof, you must pay to have the animal butchered. Below is an average break down of how the process usually works. |
Cost analysis of buying freezer beef
| Cost | ||
| Average Weight of Beef Cattle | 1,250 lbs. | +$1,250 |

| So the average value you
get buying our freezer beef is $2.78/lb., that's a much better value
than from any grocery store, and the quality and freshness are
unsurpassed. And it's not just ground beef, mind you, it's roasts,
steaks, stew pieces, and even exotic pieces like tongue, heart, and
liver. The great part is, you're in control of what cuts you will
receive. We can recommend a butcher if you're unfamiliar with the
process.
Don't want 585 lbs. of meat? You can also order one half or one quarter of the animal, pay your share of the butchering cost, and the animal will be butchered when we have sold it all. So how can you beat the value, the quality, and the freedom from fear about what's going on your family's dinner plate? Give us a call today and ask for our freezer beef. |
